Surgery Sucks

Auugghhh, I recently had surgery so my posts may take longer to do then usual.

My suggestion, even though you CAN eat until 12 the night before, the least you eat the better and next time I am going liquid only.

Getting my body back to it’s normal functions has been much more difficult then the actual recovery of the surgery itself.

I am working from home, (so much for 2 weeks off to recover) but again at least I have a job to bitch about.

Ok I am going back to bed now.

HG 200 – Pigs in Blankie

by now you all know that I am slighly kitchenphobic (Nawt my fault, darn oven has scarred me!)

Now the Hungry Girl book was definately worth the wait, however, even then I am not immune to … well.. disaster.

However, I may not be a cook but I can think outside the box.

My kids really like the pigs in a blanket, however I didn’t make them the way they said because….well…. I didn’t have any hotdogs!!

I did however have little turkey dog snack links. So you can have 8 of those for 100 calories so I rolled out the low fat cresent dough, (that I had to cut in half cause the links are a LOT smaller then hot dogs) and then because I was out of cheese slices (What, like that never happens to anyone else!) I had some left over grated cheese from the night before, so I pressed the cheese into the dough and rolled up the links and baked.

And Guess WHAT??? My kids LOVED ‘em so there! HA, of course now they want them all the time, what a pain!

Ok, so I made the Scoopable Chinese Chicken Salad (pg 77, 195 cal) -

I have to say for a Novice (yea ok, I know that is stretching a bit) the recipes are pretty easy!

so I made it all but…. I didn’t have cooked skinless chicken breast so I put in canned chicken instead, and well…. I didn’t have the sesame ginger dressing so I used Miracle whip instead.

It came out pretty good!

A few days later, I had some shrimp that no one wanted to eat, which were to spicy for me so I blended them up with some sour cream and added to the salad TASTY!

If I recall correctly, 1958 is the first year that Congress, not President Eisenhower, voted to remove funds from Social Security and put it into the General Fund for Congress to spend.

If I recall correctly, it was a democratically controlled Congress.

From what I understand,Congress’ logic at that time – was that there was so much money in Social Security Fund that it would never run out / be used up for the purpose it was intended / set aside for.

HG 200 – Pumpkin Recipies

I tried the pumpkin oatmeal and the pumpkin pie (hey I could only find the BIG can of pumpkin and I didn’t want it to go to waste!)

The complete & utter insanity oatmeal (pg 11 , 179 cal) is much better the next day and very filling! I made two days worth at once.

I also made the to good to deny pumpkin pie (pg 290, 133 cal), it was yuminsky, and my son even ate it! although….. since I couldn’t find a round pie pan I had to use a square pan, it was a little harder to cut into 8 pieces but hey it still tastes good!

And yea my kitchen looked like someone exploded the pumpkin in it, but at least I used most of it!

We were getting ready to run some errands when my older son comes in and says “there is a REAL big bird on the neighbors roof!” soo I went
to check it out and ….. there was a REAL BIG BIRD on the neighbors roof!

All I can say is I hope he doesn’t poop on my car!

Well, I am getting a little of the good life, I got a box in the mail from the Mini Dealership.

It was a goodie box! I got a mouse pad, antenna ball, nice pen, nice hardback note book, a few other misc items!

I just wanna know what the Bemeer Box has in it! (hee hee)
