I found more pictures as I was going thru my stuff. The Cistern is cool, figuratively and literally, nice to get out of the sun 🙂 This is NOT included in the Museum Pass so you will have to pay for it.
This hotel is just minutes walking distance to Petra. If you are going to Petra I recommend staying in Petra and skipping the 3 hr bus drive back and forth. It is a nice little town.
They had a nice rooftop terrace, it had a pool, big rooms, a/c, great breakfast, the bathroom tub/shower was a little akward but it worked.
There is so much to do, see, explore, taste in Istanbul. The people are very nice, most speak better English then we speak Turkish. The food was wonderful. It was a little muggy which was unexpected, but I packed right 🙂
I took a lot more pictures, but I didn’t want to bore or overwhelm anyone, so I tried to pick out ones that showed all sides of Istanbul.
Make sure you go to the Natural History Museum, it has items of great age, but more important, you can get up close and personal with them. Not standing 6 ft away behind glass. Very few of the items are off limits. But please use common courtesy and don’t damage or defile them.
So much stuff that even the gardens seem to be filled with the items they didn’t have room for in the museum. We are talking 1000 bc type stuff!
